Unaccounted sum found in ACB raid
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: T. Srinivas, Officer of the Musheerabad Fire Service Station, and his staff were found possessing an unaccounted sum of Rs. 13,370 during a surprise check on their office on Thursday by the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials. An inquiry was launched as the fire officer and the firemen could not explain why they possessed the money while being on duty, a press release said. On a tip-off that the fire station staff was indulging in corrupt practices to issue no objection certificates for persons who applied for fire-cracker shop licenses, the ACB authorities raided the fire station.
They seized application forms, General Diary and five application forms submitted by different persons.
