Boney M to perform at Pink Ribbon Nite

HYDERABAD: Pop group of yesteryears Boney M will be performing in the twin cities for the first time on October 24.

The legendry pop group’s performance will be to mark the Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink Ribbon Month) to be observed worldwide. The group’s lead singer Marcia Barrett is a breast cancer survivor, according to Usha Lakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF), which is organising the event.

US Ambassador David Mulford and his wife Jeanni Mulford would be the guests of honour at the concert to be organised at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). Ms. Mulford is also a breast cancer survivor.

The KIMS and APTDC are the joint sponsors of the event, for which donor passes are available at KIMS Breast Centre, Walden, Music World and Kalakriti Art Gallery, according to Dr. P.P. Raghuram, CEO of UBCF.
