The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute will conduct a seminar on import and export rules and procedures on October 17 and 18 at Rathna Regent.
Exporters and entrepreneurs from Coimbatore, Salem, Erode and Karur districts are expected to participate in the programme.

IDBI Fortis Life Insurance has opened a branch in the city. It planned to have six branches in Tamil Nadu and 24 in the South.
Dell opens store
Dell India has opened exclusive stores in New Delhi and Coimbatore. The stores will sell consumer range of products – Inspiron, Studio and XPS.
According to Girish Mehta, Director of Consumer Marketing, Dell India, the opening of exclusive stores marked an important step in the rollout of the multi-channel model of marketing in the country and supported the company’s brand tagline of “Yours is Here.” Customers could purchase Dell computers through online or phone-based sales teams or through select Tata Croma and Staples stores.
