SALEM: All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam General Secretary Jayalalitha will unveil the statue of party founder leader and former Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran at Rasipuram in Namakkal district on Friday to mark the beginning of the party’s 37th anniversary. She will also address a public meeting. Under the supervision of former chief minister O. Panneerselvam, elaborate arrangements are being made in Rasipuram for the leader’s visit. The meeting at Rasipuram will also signal the beginning of the party’s year long anniversary celebrations. AIADMK cadres from Western Zone have started pouring in to Rasipuram in view of the function since Thursday evening. Salem Range police also have made security arrangements.
