TIIC conducts loan fair

Benefitting all: Loan fair organised by Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation in Tirupur on Wednesday.
Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Limited (TIIC) organised a ‘Loan Fair’ here on Wednesday, to disburse credit for creation of industrial fixed assets.
P. Sundaram, branch manager, TIIC, said that a total of 245 applications were received during the mela seeking loans to the tune of Rs 50 crore.
In-principle sanction was accorded to four applicants on the spot for a total credit amount of Rs 1.2 crore.
Mr Sundaram said that during the last financial year, the Tirupur branch had sanctioned loans worth Rs 30 crore and disbursed subsidy to the tune of Rs seven crore under various government sponsored schemes.
Regarding the targets set for this fiscal, he said that open term loans, bill finance and normal term loans worth Rs 65 crore were planned to be distributed.
