Three held on rape charge

Berhampur: Three persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of a student at Bhanjanagar near here, the police said on Thursday.

Three other accused persons are at large and the hunt is on to apprehend them, the police said. The crime was committed behind the sub-collector’s office on Monday when the girl, studying in Standard XI was returning from a temple. The accused persons allegedly took the girl to the deserted place and committed the crime. – PTI
