CUTTACK: The matriculation supplementary examinations conducted by the Orissa Board of Secondary Education (BSE) began across the State in 254 examination centers on Thursday. The examinations would continue till October 25. According to BSE sources, the examinations began smoothly in all the centers, including in those located in the areas affected by the flood last month. At least 57,000 students had filled up forms for the examinations The examinations are being held for both regular and ex-regular students in two sittings everyday. Some 1,665 students pursuing the correspondence course are also appearing for the examinations. BSE secretary N.R. Mohapatra said that adequate measures have been taken to ensure that the examinees do not resort to unfair means.
