PMK functionaries join AIADMK

Staff Reporter

TIRUNELVELI: Accompanied by around 100 party functionaries, the Tirunelveli City district secretary of Pattali Makkal Katchi S. Pitchiah Pandian joined the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in the presence of former Industries Minister Nainar Nagendran on Wednesday.

Welcoming the new entrants into the party, Mr. Nagendran appealed to them to work tirelessly for the resounding victory of AIADMK in the ensuing Parliamentary polls. “When we conducted the anti-liquor conference at Palayamkottai on behalf of the Tirunelveli City district, I was not even allowed to go near him. Similar painful treatment was meted out to us when the anti-liquor conference was conducted at Kovilpatti recently, which actually forced us to leave the party,” Mr. Pitchiah said.
