Training for physical education teachers

Staying fit: Physical Education Teachers undergoing martial arts training (Silambatam) at the District Sports Stadium in Krishnagiri on Wednesday. —
KRISHNAGIRI: A three-day martial arts (Silambattam) training conducted for physical education teachers concluded here on Wednesday. About 60 teachers participated in the training programme.
Training was held in the District Sports Stadium on Royakottai Road in Krishnagiri. M. Baskar, Chief Education Officer, inaugurated the camp. At the end of the programme, all the participants were given certificates.
R. Govindan, Regional Physical Education Inspector, V. Murugesan, District Education Officer, Krishnagiri, Gururagavendar, Gurukulam Silamba Kalaikoodam Secretary, and B. Rathinakumar, Salem District Silambattam Association, participated.
R. Venkatraman, District Sports Officer, welcomed the gathering. K. Parimala, Physical Education Director, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, proposed a vote of thanks.
