Workshop on Etikoppaka toys

VISAKHAPATNAM: INTACH, Visakhapatnam, is organising a handicraft workshop providing a ‘hands on’ experience for school students with the master craftsmen of the Etikoppaka toy-making industry.

According to INTACH, local chapter convener Rani Sarma, the workshop will be conducted at Jassver English Medium School at Lawson’s Bay Colony from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

With the intention of bringing school children face-to-face with the traditional art form, a lecture and a demonstration on toy-making will be organised at the workshop.

Students from about 20 schools responded for participation in the workshop.
