The camp is part of the Long Term Development Programme with the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games in 2010 as the main objectives. On the first day 42 players turned up, while the rest, including Arjun Halappa, are expected to join within a week. The camp is being supervised by Harendra Singh. The other coaches are Ramandeep Singh and Romeo James. Harendra said “the boys have put setbacks of the past behind and are starting anew. We have a good mix of youth and experience in the camp.” He added that as part of the training programme here, the players would undergo biomechanical tests.
