PUNE: Indian hockey’s hunt for a professional foreign coach resumed with seven names submitted to the Indian Olympic Association’s ad-hoc committee, currently overseeing the administration of sport. The shortlist of coaches, all attached to teams at this point, was prepared by FIH coaching manager Tayyab Ikram, on a request from IOA’s ad-hoc committee to the world hockey body for assistance in the matter. The Sports of Authority of India (SAI) will be consulted about the salary before reverting back to the FIH, IOA President Suresh Kalmadi said. He addressed the media on Tuesday night at the Shiv Chhatrapati sports complex athletics stadium, along with FIH President Els van Breda Vriesman and Ikram.
