Bhopal: Police claim to have smashed a gang of Pardi tribals allegedly involved in several dacoities across the country including two in Shahpura and Arera Colony here. The gang was arrested from a village in Shivpuri district by the Crime Branch of Bhopal Police who laid a trap acting as decoy customers, Additional Superintendent of Police Mahendra Singh Sikarwar told reporters here. After successfully negotiating a deal for an English revolver, the police nabbed two gang members, Suraj Pardi and Omprakash Pardi, carrying an award of Rs.5,000 each, in their hideout, he said. Later, four other members of the gang – Surendra Kapoor, Kamal Batham, Arun Gurjar and Bhupendra Lodhi, allegedly providing logistic support -- were arrested. -- PTI
