Rain lashes Tirupur

Tirupur: Sporadic rain lashed the city for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, owing to low pressure persisting over the Bay of Bengal.

The sky remained overcast for most part of the day and it drizzled intermittently after every short sunny spell.

The disaster management and mitigation department sources said that Tirupur received 9 mm of rain during the last 24 hours ended at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Following is the rainfall (in mm) during the same period: Udumalpet 9, and Avinashi 1.
