Valmiki Math gets grant of Rs. 1 crore

DAVANGERE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has announced Rs. 1 crore grant to the Valmiki Math.

Mr. Yeddyurappa has assured Government’s commitment to help the math set up Valmiki Study Centers across the State.

Participating in the Pattabhisheka Mahotsava of the new seer Sri Valmiki Prasannanada Swamiji to Sri Valmiki Math at Rajanahalli village in Harihar taluk on Tuesday, Mr. Yeddyurappa said that the Government had decided to rejuvenate the historical forts at Chitradurga and Surapura.

He recalled the services of the Nayaka community to the nation and said they had played a significant role in the freedom struggle.
