India beats Thailand

CHENNAI: India defeated Thailand 25-20, 26-24, 25-21 on Tuesday for its first win in the Asian boys’ youth volleyball championship being held in Sri Lanka.

Navajit and Hemendra were good in the net blocks while Naresh won several points through his strong services especially in the second and third games. Setter Ranjit also impressed.

India is playing Kuwait next on Wednesday.
