Seven-wkt. win for Andhra

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra defeated Tamil Nadu by seven wickets, while Karnataka registered a six-wicket win over Kerala in the South Zone under-19 women’s one-day tournament at Anantapur, according to information reaching here on Tuesday.

Monika Sai’s unbeaten century for Andhra and T. Kamini’s 99 for Tamil Nadu were the highlights of the day. The final round of matches will be played on Thursday. Andhra is leading the table with 17 points, followed by Karnataka with 15 points.

The scores: Tamil Nadu 181 for eight in 50 overs (Thirush Kamini 99 n.o.) lost to Andhra 185 for three in 42 overs (Monika Sai 100 n.o.).

Hyderabad 156 for nine in 50 overs (Sindhuja Reddy 65, Saritha four for 17, Sunanda three for 27) bt Goa 72 in 48.4 overs (Anusha five for eight).

Kerala 99 in 39.5 overs (Shany 46, Sanjitha three for 17) lost to Karnataka 100 for four in 20.4 overs (Vanitha 42). — Sports Reporter
