GMR Infra completes stake buy in InterGen

MUMBAI: GMR Infrastructure on Tuesday said it has acquired 50 per cent stake in the Netherland-based InterGen for $954 million (nearly Rs. 458.88 crore). InterGen is a global power generation company that has ownership interest in 12 power plants with a total net capacity of 12,766 MW, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company, post signing, had received anti-trust approvals in the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Australia and Philippines and this transaction was completed on October 9, it said.
