Merchants down shutters

Adressing the issue: K Nagesh, president of Tirupur Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association, addressing merchants from various distirct at a meeting held in Tiurpur on Tuesday.
Tirupur: A total of 100 dyes and chemical merchants, affiliated to Tirupur Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association, downed the shutters of their shops on Tuesday to condemn the murder of a staff employed at a chemical merchant’s outlet by a customer at Karur recently.
Sakthivel, staff of Anand Chemicals, Karur, was beaten to death by a customer when he approached him to collect the outstanding payment to the company. K Nagesh, president of Tirupur Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association, chaired the condolence meeting held here in which dyes and chemicals merchants from Coimbatore, Karur, Erode and Salem, attended.
