The scores: Hyderabad 174 for eight in 50 overs (Ananya Upendran 55, Thirush Kamini three for 20) bt Tamil Nadu 142 in 45.2 overs (Thirush Kamini 42, Shobana M. Bhaskar 40, Prameetha four for 27). Kerala 115 in 47.5 overs (Lavanya three for 17) lost to Andhra 119 for four in 27.1 overs (Monika Sai 62, T. Shany three for 33). Karnataka 196 for eight in 50 overs (Veda Krishnamurthy 90, Sunanda three for 47) bt Goa 85 in 37.4 overs (Saba Syed four for 13). Corrections and ClarificationsAn item "Karnataka posts win" ("Sport", October 14, 2008), on the South Zone u-19 women's cricket tournament at Anantapur, mentioned the name of the Tamil Nadu batsman who scored 40 as Shobana M. Bhaskar. It should have been Shibani M. Bhaskar.
