Pranitha bags silver

KOLKATA: Vardhineni Pranitha won India its second silver medal of the World youth archery championship at Antalya (Turkey) on Sunday.

The 18-year-old from Andhra Pradesh lost 96-100 to Japanese Mikie Zushi in the final of the junior women’s recurve individual event.

India ended the six-day meet with two silver medals. Two years ago, the Indian archers returned home from Merida (Mexico) with one gold, three silver and one bronze.
