Sonepat MP Sangwan not to quit BJP

On tie-up with INLD, says he will abide by party decision

Sonepat: Rubbishing rumours of his quitting the party, BJP MP from Sonepat Kishan Singh Sangwan on Monday said that he would abide by the party high command decision on the tie-up with the Indian National Lok Dal for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “I will not quit the party,” Mr. Sangwan, a strong opponent of INLD supremo and former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, said.

He said that the Sonepat Lok Sabha seat which he has been representing for the last one decade, has been allotted to the BJP and claimed his candidature for this seat is likely to be announced by the party leader L K Advani at a rally on November 1. Mr. Sangwan was associated with former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal and was elected to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in 1987. He had remained with Devi Lal until 1999. PTI
