Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi was admitted to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here on Monday morning in a critical condition following a heart attack. He is being treated at the Coronary Care Unit, where he is on life support system.

The condition of the Minister, who is also the president of the All-India Football Federation, continues to be critical but stable.

According to doctors, the Minister suffered a cardiac arrest late on Sunday night. He was brought to AIIMS with severe breathlessness and lung congestion. A hospital spokesperson said Mr. Dasmunsi was first taken to the casualty wing, where his condition was stabilised and thereafter shifted to the CCU.

His vital organs, heart rate, blood pressure and urine output were normal.
