Capitalism’s worst crisis, says Castro

Fidel Castro

HAVANA: Cuban leader Fidel Castro has warned of the “dramatic” consequences that the current financial crisis would bring about and called for vigilance against the measures the U.S. government has taken to solve it.

“[Those measures] will bring more inflation, more devaluations of the national currencies, more painful losses of the markets, lower prices of the export commodities, more unequal exchange,” said Mr. Castro in an article published by Cuban media.

The crisis will also bring more knowledge of the truth, more consciousness, more rebellion and more revolutions, he said.

According to Mr. Castro, the capitalist system is experiencing the worst crisis since the world followed that model of growth and development. — Xinhua
