Census

BANGALORE: Yuvajana Jagruthi Vedike has welcomed the State Government’s decision to drop outsourcing the work of conducting a caste-based census. In a release, vedike president B.N. Ramesh and convenor Dinesh Kumar S.C. demanded that the Karnataka Backward Classes Commission should be entrusted with the job of conducting the census. They warned the Government that the vedike might have to launch an agitation if it was not “serious” in completing the work immediately.
