Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan JAIPUR: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers and Lok Janshakti Party president Ram Vilas Paswan over the weekend trashed the Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani’s apology on the attacks taking place on the Christian population in Orissa and other parts of the country. Mr.Advani’s apologies lacked spontaneity and his effort was only to project him as a secular leader so that he would be an acceptable candidate for Prime Minister ship in a coalition setup, Mr. Paswan said. “While his party is on an attempt to polarize the Hindus votes against that of the minorities prior to the forthcoming elections, Mr.Advani is trying to adorn the make up of a secular leader befitting a Prime Ministerial candidate,” Mr.Paswan said interacting with journalists here. He reiterated his demand for a ban on the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Mr.Paswan also suggested setting up a commission to decide on the organizations, which are engaged in terrorist activities, or abetting terrorism in the country. Mr.Paswan said his party proposed to go it alone in all the five States in the coming Assembly elections. As for Rajasthan the party would fight all the 200 seats. The names of party candidates for 50 constituencies were already final while others were being worked out, he informed. Mr.Paswan said his party would launch an agitation from October 15 demanding reservations in jobs in the private sector. In Jaipur the agitation would be focused on Airtel while in Delhi it would be on jobs in ICICI Bank Ltd., he disclosed.
