Youth hacked to death

CHENNAI: A 24-year-old history-sheeter was hacked to death by a gang at Aminjikari on Saturday .

Police suspect that gang rivalry could be the cause of the murder.

According to sources, the victim, Senthil of TP Chatram, who was involved in various crimes including a murder at Saidapet last July, was released from prison 10 days ago.

At 4.45 p.m. on Saturday, a gang that came on an autorickshaw, attacked him on Pulla Reddy Avenue near Thiru-vi-ka Park in Aminjikarai and fled.

Senthil died on the way to the hospital.
