Fire at KSRTC workshop; property destroyed

BANGALORE: Property worth Rs. 15,000 was destroyed in a fire at the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) workshop near Kengeri on Saturday.

According to Fire and Emergency Services personnel, the fire broke out when some workmen were repairing a bus.

Two fire engines were sent to the workshop and the fire was put off.

Arrested

The Hanumanthnagar police arrested Pradeep (22) for his alleged involvement in the murder of 21-year-old cab driver Vinay Kumar on Friday. The police said Pradeep was jealous of Vinay Kumar’s relationship with a girl. He and his friends allegedly attacked Vinay Kumar, who died on the spot.

In another incident, the Kamakshipalya police arrested four men who were allegedly trying to rob people near the water tank at Sunkadakatte and recovered machetes and a multi-utility vehicle from them.

The arrested have been identified as Shivaraj, Lokesh, Ganesh and Sridhar.
