ERODE: Perundurai police have registered a case against former Minister N.K.K.P. Raja on charges of kidnapping P. Sivabalan. Mr. Sivabalan’s uncle P.C. Guhamani had filed a habeas corpus petition before the Madras High Court alleging that the former minister had kidnapped his family members with the intention of forcefully acquiring a family land near Perundurai. The police have registered the case following a complaint from Mr. Sivabalan’s mother P. Malarvizhi, who has alleged that her son is under Mr. Raja’s custody. Meanwhile, the DSP, Perundurai, V. Ramasamy has been transferred to Vallioor sub division in Tirunelveli district.
