Prizes for cultural troupes

MYSORE: The troupes that performed Somana Kunita, Goravara Kunita and Dollu Kunita from Tumkur, Chamarajanagar and Shimoga districts, respectively, have been adjudged the best cultural troupes among the 65 teams that participated in the Dasara procession here.

In a press release here, Deputy Special Officer, Dasara Procession Sub-Committee, M.G. Mahesh has said that the Somana Kunita troupe, led by D.S. Ganadhara Gowda of Dandinashivara in Tumkur, bagged the first prize, the troupe of Bhakta Kanakadasa Goravara Kunita Kalasangha of Ramasamudra in Chamarajangar which presented Goravara Kunita has got the second prize and the troupe of Sri Kanneshwara Janapada Kalasangha of Kanndur in Sagar taluk of Shimoga district which performed Dollu Kunita bagged the third prize.
