Army Public School triumphs
NEW DELHI: Army Public School, Noida defeated Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad 2-0 in the final of the Sportsmen Welfare Foundation inter-school under-16 football tournament at the Chilla Sports Complex here on Saturday. The winner led 1-0 at the half -time.
Arafat Bilal and Vikas Kumar were the scorers.
DPS goalkeeper Atul Kumar was adjudged the ‘best player’ of the tournament while St. Columbas School was given the Fair Play Trophy. Rajender Rawat of Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan was declared the ‘best coach’.
The ICS-sponsored scholarship for a one-year training in computer was given away to ten promising players. — Special Correspondent
