Tvm, Idukki in title clash

IDUKKI: Jibson Justin struck twice as Thiruvananthapuram defeated Malappuram 2-1 and marched to the final of the Kerala State junior (under-19) football championship at the St. George High School Ground, Muthalakudam, on Saturday evening.

Jibson’s goals came in the 27th and 64th minutes while Malappuram’s consolation goal came in the 69th minute.

Thiruvananthapuram will meet host Idukki in Sunday’s final. Idukki defeated Kollam 5-4, via the tie-breaker earlier, after being 1-1 at the end of the regulation period. — Principal Correspondent
