‘Ideology set aside for few seats’

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Congress has criticised the Left parties for what it described as “setting aside their ideology in seeking alliances with other parties for the sake of winning a few seats.”

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, APCC spokesman Paladugu Venkata Rao alleged that the Left parties lacked consistency in their stand to suit their electoral convenience. The situation was appalling in that the CPI (M) and the CPI were trying to align with “reactionary forces” like the Telugu Desam and Praja Rajyam that were formed on local considerations and were devoid of any national agenda.
