THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has decided to celebrate the birth centenary of Col. Goda Varma Raja, considered to be the father of tourism in Kerala, with year-long programmes beginning October 13. In a statement here on Saturday, KTDC chairman Cherian Philip said a meeting to celebrate G. V. Raja’s birth anniversary, to be held at Hotel Mascot on the day, would have G.V. Raja’s daughters Pooyam Thirunal Gouri Parvathi Bai and Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bai as chief guests. — Special Correspondent
