Boy feared drowned

CHENNAI: A teenager, who came to the Marina Beach with a few of his friends on Friday morning, is feared to have been drowned.

According to Anna Square police, the boy, Thillainathan, a class XI student of MCTM School in Purasawalkam, had come to the beach with three other friends during school hours.

The boys went into the sea for a swim.

When one of them did not return, the others raised an alarm.

Police have registered a case of missing person . The victim is a resident of Nammalwarpet.

His father, Siva, is an autorickshaw driver.
