Party announces names of some of its office-bearers and also a candidate Chandrakant Tyagi has been appointed Delhi unit president NEW DELHI: The recently launched Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanata Party (BRSP) on Friday announced its decision to contest the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls. Led by author and motivation guru Shiv Khera, the party announced the names of some of its office-bearers and also a candidate for the Delhi polls. “The BRSP will be contesting five seats,” said Mr. Khera releasing the party’s election manifesto. “But wherever we find good candidates we will contest,” he added. The party has fielded Nidhi Mahajan from the Dwarka Assembly constituency. The names of candidates for the remaining constituencies would be announced in the coming days. Chandrakant Tyagi has been appointed Delhi unit president, Sandeep Shakti Dubey the National Youth president and Naushad Ahmed Khan the Delhi unit general secretary. Mr. Khera said the party’s 16-point agenda aims at strengthening the country and securing its future. He said his manifesto was “not just a description of issues to be considered, but provides in-depth solutions as well”. “Citizens are forced to pay bribes to get justice and even basic amenities like food and water. Is this not extortion? Then what is the difference between the mafia and the government? The need of the hour is to put our country in the hands of people who can take it forward without breaking its unity,” he said. Referring to his party’s stand on issues like reservation and terrorism, Mr. Khera said he condemns “the policy of casteism and regionalism being followed by other political parties”. He called for a uniform civil code and uniform education system across the country that would allow individuals to compete on the basis of merit. He also stressed the need to eradicate corruption, crime, injustice and poverty. “Our party consists of highly-educated citizens including doctors, advocates, former governors, who understand thoroughly the problems of the country and can be relied upon to find appropriate solutions. Many people from various other parties are wiling to join us,” he added.
