Revised load shedding schedule for Karur district

KARUR: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a six-and-a-half hour load shedding schedule for Karur district, effective from Friday.

Power cut between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.; 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.; 10.30 p.m. and 12 midnight:

Areas falling under Pugalur Sub Station including Pugalur, Velayuthampalayam, Thottakurichi and Thalavapalayam.

Power shut down between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.; 12 midnight to 1.30 a.m.:

Areas falling under Karur Sub Station including Karur, Inam Karur municipalities, Panchamadevi, Minnampalli, Arasu Colony, Kalipalayam, Kathaparai and Kulathupalayam and areas falling under Manmangalam Sub Station including Vengamedu, Kuppuchipalayam, N. Pudur, Manmangalam, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Kadambankurichi and Perichipalayam.

Areas falling under Veppampalayam Sub Station including Chatram, Andankoil, Pavithram, Sanjay Nagar, Vadivel Nagar and Mochakottampalayam.

Areas coming under Pallappatti Sub Station including Pallapatti, Lingamanaickenpatti, Sendhamangalam, Velambadi, Inunganur and Marugur. Areas covered by Malaikovilur Sub Station including Vengambadi, Aravakurichi, Esanatham, Venjamangudalur, Kakkavadi and Tadakoil. Areas served by Adnichettipalayam Sub Station including Chinnadarapuram, Kattampati and K. Paramathi.

Power cut between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and 1.30 a.m. and 3 a.m.:

Areas covered by Thanthonimalai Sub Station including Thanthoni Municipality, Emur, Manavadi and Gandhigram. Areas falling under Velliyanai Sub Station including Velliyanai, Mookanakurichi, Thalapatti and Kaniyalampatti.

Also areas covered by Puliyur Sub Station including Puliyur, Uppidamangalam, Veerarakkiam, Kattalai, Balarajapuram and Sanapiratti.

Areas covered by Panjapatti Sub Station including Panjapatti, Vadavampadi, Veeriyampalayam, Meenakshipuram and Ayyampalayam. Areas covered by Ayyarmalai, Mayanur, Nachalur, Pettaivaithalai, Chintamanipatti, Thogamalai and Lalapet sub stations.

The TNEB has also noted that power would be supplied to the farm pump sets for four hours during daytime and six hours in the night. A blanket ban also comes into effect against welding activity between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
