Printing charges to be hiked

Tirupur: The annual general meeting of Tirupur Export Knit Printers Association (TEKPA) held here this week has decided to hike the printing charges by 30 per cent.

T.R. Srikanth, president, TEKPA, requested the garment exporters to bear with the hike since it was inevitable.

He pointed out that the decision was taken considering the recent hike in the prices of raw materials needed for printing such as inks and mineral turpentine oil.

The price hike of inputs ranged from 30 per cent to 100 per cent, he said.
