Special team to probe theft case

KRISHNAGIRI: A special team has been formed to nab the culprits involved in Parvasha Padmavathi Temple hundi theft case, Anisha Hussain, Superintendent of Police, Krishnagiri district, told ‘The Hindu’ here on Friday.

The special team would led by the Bargur Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mani, and Inspector Pushparaj. Police suspected the involvement of Korava community behind the incident. The SP said she was hopeful of nabbing the culprits soon.

It may be recalled that the accused in the Mary Matha statue theft case at Madhekondapalli was arrested within 36 hours of the incident, and the statue recovered by a special team headed by ADSP Magesh last Thursday.
