Man arrested for assaulting minor girl

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old man has been arrested at Sangam Vihar here for alleged criminal assault on a minor girl.

According to the police, Amarpal gagged the girl and criminally assaulted her inside her house on Wednesday night. The victim’s father caught the accused when he returned home from his shop. A medical examination of the girl confirmed the assault and the accused was arrested.

The girl’s mother and younger sister were sleeping in an adjoining room at the time of the incident.
