Penultimate round this weekend

Chennai: The penultimate round of the UCAL ROLON National Road Racing Championship 2008 begins this weekend at the Madras Motor Race Track in Irungattukottai. Saturday’s qualifying session will be followed by the main races on Sunday. Without substantial leads in most classes, points earned this weekend could be crucial in deciding the championship. After three rounds in the expert category, Harry Sylvester leads the Group ‘D’ four-stroke 165cc class with 84 points, with K. Rajini in second with 73 points.

Rajini leads the Group ‘B’ four-stroke 130-165cc class with 88, ahead of Sylvester, who has 72 points.

K. Vinodh heads the field in the Group ‘B’ four-stroke 260cc class with 83 points. R. Deepak follows in second with 72 points.
