Eyes of old woman donated

PUDUKOTTAI: The eyes of an 85-year old woman, Brahadambal of Jeeva Nagar at Machuvadi here have been donated to an eye hospital in Tiruchi on Wednesday.

One of the bereaved family members, Subramanian, immediately informed the office-bearers of the Lions Club of Pudukottai Victory, who, in turn, made arrangements for the donation to the A.G. Eye hospital in Tiruchi city.

The president of the Club, P. Jawahar said that the eyes were donated in less than three hours after the death.
