Yeddyurappa extends Dasara greetings

BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Ayudha Puja and Vijayadasami festival.

In a message, Mr. Yeddyurappa said: “Let the celebration of the festival usher in peace, prosperity and contentment and inspire diverse sections of the society to cohabit peacefully.”

Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Mallikarjun Kharge extended his Dasara festival wishes to the people of Karnataka. In his message, Mr. Kharge hoped that the Navaratri festival, a symbol of victory over evil, would eradicate ill-will and communal disharmony in society. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president R.V. Deshpande and working president D.K. Shivakumar, MP Ananth Kumar, and BJP State unit president D.V. Sadananda Gowda also extended their Navaratri greetings.
