One held in burglary case

KOCHI: The special investigation team led by Sunil Jacob, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mattancherry, and V.K. Sanal Kumar, Circle Inspector, Palluruthy, arrested one person in connection with a burglary committed in June.

The accused was identified as Hussain, 34, Perunthitta, Choonda. The case was that the accused, along with three others, committed burglary in house of Joseph, Peedikaparambil, Thoppumpady and made away with things worth Rs. 1.5 lakh. The police said, Aneesh, a friend of Mr. Joseph’s son, was the mastermind behind the crime. He informed Hussain about the movement of the family. The crime was committed when the family went to church at 5.30 a.m.

The police had arrested Aneesh, Mujeeb and Ashkar in this connection.
