Prohibitory order

The district administration has issued a prohibitory order restricting public from performing ‘kumbabishekam’ at Muthalamman Temple in Uthapuram scheduled for October 9 and 10. On September 15, a dispute between two groups snowballed into a clash following which 30 persons were arrested. A few days ago, tension mounted within the two groups over painting of a wall of the temple. — Staff Reporter
