Mohan bags a double

BOUNCING BACK: Mohan George rallied to beat Atit B. Shah in the snooker final on Tuesday

KOCHI: For the second successive day, Mohan George made a strong recovery and completed a fine double in the Kerala State senior billiards and snooker championship at the Regional Sports Centre here on Tuesday night. The 49-year-old Mohan, who won the billiards title after trailing all through on Monday, defeated his Regional Sports Centre club-mate Atit B. Shah 4-2 in the snooker final.

Mohan, the county’s first junior National snooker champion, trailed 1-2 in the seven-frame final but bounced back to win the title. It was his first double in the championship. I.C. Patel, former State champion and former Kerala Billiards Association president, and the Regional Sports Centre secretary George Thomas gave away the prizes.
