Thrissur dominates

KOZHIKODE: Thrissur dominated the North Zone qualifying leg of the State School Games, finishing first in overall points tally in both the Under-19 and Under-17 sections here on Tuesday.

The top three teams qualify from each disciplines for the State School Games, to be held in Thrissur.

In the Under-19 event, Thrissur logged 100 points, followed by Palakkad (84) and Kannur and Malappuram (64 each). In the Under-17 section, Thrissur scored 120, followed by Palakkad (104) and Kannur (56).

The qualifiers (in the order of first, second and third):

Under-19: Table tennis: Boys: Wyd, Tsr, Kzde. Girls: Kzde, Wyd, Tsr.

Tennis: Boys: Kgd, Pkd, Tsr. Girls: Pkd, Tsr, Kgd.

Baskebtall: Boys: Knr, Tsr, Mlp. Girls: Knr, Tsr, Mlp.

Volleyball: Boys: Tsr, Kzde, Knr. Girls: Knr, Kzde, Pkd.
