HASSAN: Former Rajya Sabha member and Hassan district Janata Dal(S) president H.K. Javare Gowda has mourned the death of the president of the Janata Dal(S) State unit Merajuddin Patel who died of heart attack in Gulbarga on Tuesday.

Mr. Javare Gowda described him as a model leader who always stood by his secular values. Mr. Patel worked for the overall development of Bidar district, he said.

Former Minister H.D. Revanna and MLAs H.S. Prakash and H.K. Kumaraswamy have also expressed their condolences.
