“Ensure power for Ramlilas”

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Jagdish Mukhi, on Tuesday demanded that the State Government ensure uninterrupted power supply to temples and Ramlilas being staged across the Capital.

Stating that power supply to various temples and Ramlilas was getting disrupted for one to two hours on a regular basis, the BJP leader said this was leading to a precarious situation as a large number of people, including women and children, visit the events every evening.

He said it was surprising that despite repeated assurances from Power Minister A. K. Walia, power cuts were still taking place.
