NEW DELHI: Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami and Commissioners Navin Chawla and S.Y. Quareshi are visiting Srinagar on Tuesday to assess the preparedness of the State administration to hold the Assembly polls. Last month the Commission had convened a meeting of national political parties and State recognised parties holding the elections The elections are to be held before January 9, 2009 in the State which is under governor’s rule. On Tuesday the Commissioners will meet the Chief Secretary and the DGP to discuss the prevailing situation
